"Do Everything"

The motto of Frances Willard (or something - at least that's what they put on their t-shirts - I don't think I've done enough research yet...) Anyway, you know you always wanted a magnet of the formerly famous leader of the Women's Christian Temperance Union with her bicycle, Gladys. Because I know I do. My birthday is only 3 months and 7 days away.

It's very interesting that someone so famous in her day (even more than Susan B. Anthony), could be completely unknown today. You expect that of Monica Lewinsky, but of someone who actually changed things and was influential all over the country? It just goes to show you that you have to pick your causes carefully. The right to vote - whoo hooo - it passed, and hey, women are actually intelligent. Prohibition - passed, and well, sort of failed - no one cares about temperance anymore. Or do they? Show your pride, wear a Frances t-shirt. Maybe we'll get an A if sales spike on the website. :)

Books, Books, and Papers and some more Books

So what you do you when your Master's Essay advisor tells you that you need to include a book in your essay? Well, you read it. Unfortunately, I had already rejected the book as less than helpful. Good thing I didn't return it to the library (and Andy says I have too many books!) So anyway, I'm still trying to read it and figure out exactly where its value is in relation to my paper. I'm not 100% sure about the due date for ths paper, and I'm honestly afraid to ask. I've got a maximum of three weeks from last Tuesday I'd imagine. But I'm not sure. Eeek.

My car also died. Well, it didn't really die, just decided to stall a whole bunch of times. This time it was the throttle. At least that doesn't cost $1000 to fix. Although the four-way flasher problem is going to cost a lot more than you'd think it would. This was not the week to be without 1 car. Thank goodness for public transportation and a nice gesture from Seth.

8 days a week

Somehow I am working 8 days in a row. It's only day 2, and I am already tired.
