Just a stealth blogger doing his civic duty

Janet refuses to post things on here with any sort of frequency. I suppose having a real job makes that difficult at times. She's been a little bit sick lately, so we'll let it slide. She's in the shower right now. If the snow ever stops, she's all set to start her new job at the library. Just consider this post my contribution to her blog.

I like Barbie

I purchased the Barbie Band-Aids mentioned on Andy's blog, and I am quite sad to say that they are all gone. This is due, in large part, to his constant need to cut himself while doing ordinary tasks, such as the dishes and chopping veggies. If it wasn't for that, I'd still have my Baribies for the occasional Barnes & Noble paper cut (yeah, books are full of paper, who knew). Well, at least he doesn't have to wear pink Band-Aids anymore. That's something I guess. By the way, if you are interested in purchasing your own Barbie Band-Aids, drugstore.com can help you out here. Band-Aid has their own totally cool line of kids' (and I use that term loosely) Band Aids as well. I think they should be called "licensed character Band Aids" to prevent any embarassment. See for yourself.

Writing your dissertation in 15 minutes a day

Someone came in looking for this book today. Apparently it's quite useful. Maybe that husband of mine can use it when he writes his master's thesis. This woman was writing hers, and she had already read the book once. She found it so useful that she decided to buy her own. Anyone interested in the book can look at BN.com here. Good luck writing.

I did it!

Well I finally got myself a job at the NC State library, and I start on 1/26/2004. Yay!

I still have 2 more weeks at Barnes & Noble Brier Creek, so I may not be blogging for a little while more. Maybe with a regular schedule I'll be more active. Don't hold your breath. But whenever I do blog again, I have some great stories to tell. Especially about the Frankenstein kid.
