Add another state to the list

I've now been to South Carolina. That makes 38 states - just 12 to go. Unfortunately, we're moving away from the part of the country that I haven't been to, but now I remember why we went north last summer. It's 97 degrees today. As for our trip, we had a great time. The ocean was a toasty 83 degrees, and we stayed in the surf for a long time. I got a little sand burn on my hip from one particularly tough wave, but a good time was had by all. We ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel, and I had the best french fries I've ever tasted - a rather surprising offering at an upscale seafood restaurant. We also had some fresh Mahi Mahi, which I highly recommend if you're ever at the Fish House Restaurant on Oak Island, NC. This morning, it rained, so we didn't get back in the ocean before we headed to SC. We ate lunch in North Myrtle Beach (and I had my picture taken by none other than SC's famous Palmetto trees) at none other than my favorite restaraunt of all time: Friendly's! I didn't know they had any down here, but we tracked one down. Unfortunately, they have gotten rid of the best salad dressing ever: sweet and sour. Frankly, it was just a disappointment. The crispy chicken salad, my all time favorite, also doesn't come with crispy tortilla strips either. We'll be heading to Ohio next week, and if they don't have the sweet and sour dressing, I'm not even bothering to go.
