Haribo macht Kinder froh und Erwachsene ebenso

Haribo is a German company that makes some of the best gummy candy around. I especially enjoy the gummy raspberries. Their German slogan, "Haribo macht Kinder froh und Erwachsene ebenso" roughly as "Haribo makes kids happy and adults also." Of course, it rhymes in German. In English, their slogan is "Haribo, kids and adults love it so."

I discovered Haribo in Germany, but you can find them here in certain stores. However, the gummy raspberries are rare, and often really expensive. How excited was I to find them in Walgreen's a few months ago for a somewhat reasonable price? Very excited. But not as excited as when I went to my first Super Target on Monday night and found them for a meager 89 cents. I thought I had died and gone to candy heaven because that candy aisle was the biggest, brightest, most beautiful candy aisle I'd ever seen outside a candy store. There were the bins where you could choose your own Jelly Belly mix, and a whole rack of Haribo candies. If only they had these everywhere... but for now, you can purchase some of the flavors from Amazon. In case you were wondering, my birthday is 1 month and 2 days away. ;)
